Van Buren Point is an historic summer community that has welcomed families for generations. Some cottages have been cherished by the same families for over 80 years. Notably, Samuel Clemens (Mark Twain) owned lot 10 at Van Buren Point from 1879 until 1882.
The origins of Van Buren Point date back to 1784, when it was known as Van Buren Harbor. The documents and photographs below offer a glimpse into the rich history of our community.
