Tree management program

 The Van Buren Point (VBP) Association is committed to preserving the legacy of our mature trees, which have been an integral part of our community for over a century. Our active tree management program includes:

• Care and Maintenance: Regular upkeep of Association trees to ensure their health and longevity.
• New Plantings: Strategically planting new trees to enhance our public spaces, thereby contributing to both aesthetic beauty and ecological balance.

Administered by the  Trees Committee, this program collaborates with our Maintenance Team, Maintenance Committee, and dedicated Community Volunteers to achieve these goals.

The tree management plan was crafted with expertise from the Davey Resource Group, following an in-depth inventory and analysis of:

• The overall health of both Association trees and trees belonging to individual cottage owners (for those who opted for and funded this service).
• The age and various species of our trees.

A comprehensive report detailing the health, age, species diversity, and a thorough management plan was delivered to the Trees Committee.
